Why are all my "sent" emails ending up in Draft Folder?

I'm not sure how long this has been happening, but does anyone know how to stop this from happening? I end up double checking my actual Sent folder to be sure my new/response emails did get sent, and not hung up in Draft folder.

Thanks!

Patricia

I am having the exact same problem. My sent emails go out to people and stay in the sent folder but a bunch of them also stay in the draft folder and it's super confusing. I then have to go check my sent folder to make sure things were sent before I delete everything in the draft folder. What is going on??? I want the old version back!!!

Does this happen before or after you click the Send button? If it happens afterward, does the email only stay in your Drafts folder for a few seconds and then automatically sends, or does it just stay there until you do something with it?

It just stays in my inbox with the word drafts in red letters within brackets before the address. It could not be MORE confusing! It should be in drafts to be completed later. The way it appears now one does not know if it has been sent or not!. Drafts should Not be in inbox! TOTAL CONFUSION!

has this been solved yet? a number of my emails also go into drafts AND sent folder. the emails do actually send, but then there is still a copy in my drafts even minutes/hours/days after they have been sent. very confusing. hard to know if i actually sent or not just by looking at drafts folder...so i need to cross check each one in sent as well, very time consuming.

No! I cannot stand this new version of Outlook. It sucks. Some emails go out, others live in the draft folder until I click on "send" again and then they sometimes go out, others don't go out at all and then I get notifications that the emails are in the queue and to check back later.

I don't have a lot of options in the settings online. All of the past information of settings doesn't seem to apply online. I went to my apps section on my laptop to refresh the app but that didn't help. I guess next steps would be to delete the app and then reinstall. What a pain all this is...

    Hello Angelina,

It does happen afterwards. Sometimes, it will show in my actual sent folder, and in my Draft folder as well. The email that is in the Draft folder stays there until I remove/delete it.
