Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
Hello Dean ,
My name is Jackson and thank you for your question.
My sincere apologies for the problem with your emails, I am a user myself and do not work for Microsoft so I understand how frustrating this can be.
If you experience issues receiving emails from a particular email or domain, we can try the troubleshooting steps below;
- Add senders to the safe senders list: open Outlook, > go to settings > select See all Outlook settings > spam email > safe senders and domains > Add sender email https://support.microsoft.com/office/470d4ee6-e3b6-402b-8cd9-a6f00eda7339
- Check rules that may be active and direct emails to spam https://support.microsoft.com/office/4b094371-a5d7-49bd-8b1b-4e4896a7cc5d
- Check the blocked senders list to ensure senders were not added by accident; Go to Settings > See all Outlook settings > Mail > Junk Email > Blocked senders.
- Sometimes emails may be forwarded to the "Other" tab in the focused inbox. Be sure to check both tabs.
- Check your filter settings: Emails may have been filtered incorrectly. Make sure it is not hidden by filters
- Reach out to the sender to be sure the restriction is not from the other side.
I will guide you to speak with a Microsoft account technical advisor that has tools to check your account;
https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact
- Click on the link and in the search you could put in Outlook issues
- Scroll down and you should see the option contact support or sign in to contact support
- you can sign in with any email
- for product select microsoft 365 and office and category select Outlook
- you should see the option Chat with a support agent in your web browser
Yours sincerely,
Jackson E.
