Connecting Marketo from Azure Data Factory

Hi All,

I'm using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to copy some Marketo data to our Azure Data Lake. I do not have any issue with accessing Marketo from the ADF, I mean my connection is working, the connection test is successful.
But at the "Source data store" step, when the ADF tries to load Marketo tables/entities I get the following error.

ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][Marketo] (20) Error while attempting to use REST API: Opportunity API disabled Unknown Error Code . Activity ID: d0aa76cb-2a60-400f-816c-4ff0b29e2797

We use MS Dynamics 365 and our Marketo instance is linked to our CRM and I know that "The Company and Opportunity APIs are only available on instances that are not currently synced with a CRM."

But I don't try to update Company and Opportunity information here, I just want to select some entities/tables to copy Marketo data, but it is failing. These entities could be Campaigns, Lead Activities, etc. I mean I'm not interested in Company and opportunities.

I would be grateful if you could help us with this.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thanks for reaching out. By reading this statement - "We use MS Dynamics 365 and our Marketo instance is linked to our CRM" - my understanding is that your Marketo instance is integrated with CRM.

Unfortunately Marketo instances that are integrated with external CRM are unsupported. The product team is considering it to be the feature request to support external CRM in Marketo connector.

This is the reason unable to load the tables/entities even though you are able to establish the connection.
