I am having problems receiving sms security code

suddenly, my Outlook account that connects to my Windows got a warning.

I click the fix button and just follow the steps to input my email and password. But after that, I am asked to input the last 4 digits of my phone number.

I gave it and I am sure my phone number is still active because I still use it. But I never got the code so I can't log in to my email and can't use some Windows applications. This is so annoying!

I have searched regarding this problem on the internet and there are many people that have the same problem and I am sure they didn't get the solution too.

So, what should I do?

Same thing is happening to me with my outlook account. I only opened it about a week ago for the first 3 days. It was sending me my verification code via SMS and all of a sudden it just stopped sending it. I've talked to four different agents and literally nobody could do anything for me. I have paid and bought stuff on that email account and I have no access to the stuff I bought soon as how Microsoft is not sending me my verification codes to my phone which they previously were a few days before and then I went to log into my Xbox account like I normally would and it said it sent me a verification code to my cell number and the code never comes. I've literally tried a thousand times since then and I'm still not receiving my code. Like literally Microsoft should be sued by a million different people cuz I have read a lot of stuff about this happening to other people. How much money have people been scandaled out of literally I only had my account for a week and I spent over $80 on it and that is a total loss of money now which will result in me having to change my visa number via getting a new visa to block any access to resubscriptions that I have already purchased on there. Rip off and they're security is total BS. It's too hard to get around it and find another way to log in when you're only way into your account is your phone number and Microsoft just doesn't send you your verification code to access your personal information.

I am sorry your reply did not help. Can you please check that I own my email ******@outlook.com?

    My phone number is +628563096662

Same with the number in my email for verification.

Just send me the code and I will input it. Just as simple as that.

My number is still active and I have been using this email very long time and just this time got a problem.

    Hello Osantos,

My name is Jackson and thank you for your question.

I sincerely apologize for the issue with your account recovery.

If you are not getting security code to verify your account it could be the number was not set up correctly or the country code of the number has been blocked from phone verification by Microsoft.

    The work around to this will be adding an email to your account security info. with the current account password please follow the steps below to update security info;

    1. On the Security basics page https://account.microsoft.com/security , select the Update info button. If you're not already signed in to your Microsoft account, you'll be prompted to sign in.
    2. You may be asked to enter a verification code to continue. If you don't have access to your alternate email or phone number, choose I don't have any of these and follow the instructions to replace your security info.
    3. You'll see your security info under Security settings. Choose Remove for any you want to remove. You may be asked to add new security info before you can remove the old info

    Warm regards.

    Jackson E.
