Folders not saving

I have using a Mac with outlook for Mac. I am trying to create a new folder in my inbox but although it appears and lets me name it, it then disappears! Never had this problem before. I tried deleting some I wasn't using in case it was space issue.. can you help

    Hi Fiona Cosgrove,

    Thank you for you response.

    According to your description " I can't even see the option for contact support. see screen shot below", there are one additional topic mentioned under the Contact support article.

    Note: Please note that if end users have Office 365 Business subscription, their organization's global admin can disable Contact support from their side.

    If I misunderstand anything wrong, please free to correct me. I will further provide you information accordingly.

    Initially, you may try to check the result situation in previous version of Outlook on Mac. You may download separate Outlook version for Mac from this official document Update history for Office for Mac - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn to double check the situation.

    Microsoft outlook for mac

    version 16.78.1

    under ms 365 subscription

    this has only just become a problem.. worked fine till now.. thanks
