Hi there,

I share an email address with my business partner and we are wondering if there is a way to change how the email address is authenticated. Right now, I have easier access to because my phone number is connected to the email address as a security measure and my phone's authenticator app is also connected. Is there a way for us to have individual ways to authenticate or to remove the authentication feature altogether?

Thanks in advance!

Warmly,

Leanne

Hi there Embody C. I am Lumie and I would love to assist you today.

I understand your frustration. You should be able to add authentication systems for your friend here: [account.live.com/proofs/manage/additional].

You can then turn off Microsoft authenticator from here and keep it as just Two-Step verification using your other verification methods.

This is less safe, please keep this in mind.

DO NOT turn of Two-Step verification. It is necessary for a reasonable level of protection.

Here is more information on how to turn of Microsoft authenticator: [answers.microsoft.com/thread/79f809da-6b2d-4572-bcea-5cfd7efd1aae].

    I hope this helps!

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. -Lumie
