    Hi, Dave.

What we can try to do to fix this issue now is to download and install the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant. In the article, (https://support.microsoft.com/office/4d5febf6-7623-486b-9a9f-d5cfc4264af3), It is highlighted that the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant can diagnose and fix several Outlook issues for you, including fixing your Outlook profile.

Click on this link https://aka.ms/SaRA-OutlookDisconnect to download the Recovery assistant. Once installed, the application will run automatically.

Then we can try to repair your profile by following the following steps as highlighted in the link above

"In Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, or Outlook 2016, choose File.

Choose Account Settings > Account Settings.

On the Email tab, choose your account (profile), and then choose Repair.

Follow the prompts in the wizard, and when you’re done, restart Outlook"

I hope this helps, let me know if this contradicts what you need. I remain helpful in answering any more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    Femi.

Hi, Daniel. Thank you for coming to the forum. My name is Femi. It is worth noting that this is a user community, and we are all users here, much like yourself. While we strive to assist and share insights, we are not Microsoft directly.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your display name in Outlook. To gain a better understanding of the issue, I would like to ask you a vital question.

Do you by any chance possess a Microsoft Exchange account? If you do, only your administrator can help you change your name on that account.

I would also appreciate it if you could tell me the message it displays when you try to change your name.

I hope this helps, let me know if this contradicts what you need. I remain helpful in answering any more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    Femi.
