    Dear Michelle Bumgarner,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

To set up an out of office (automatic replies) in the new Outlook for windows (Preview) version, please follow these steps:

    1. On the View tab, select  View settings.
    2. Select AccountsAutomatic Replies.
    3. Select the Turn on automatic replies toggle.
    4. Select Send replies only during a time period, and then enter start and end times.
    5. Under Send automatic replies inside your organization, enter the message to send while you're away. (You can use the formatting options for text alignment, color, and emphasis.) To set up automatic replies to other people, select Send replies outside your organization, then add a separate message for that audience.
    6. When you're done, select Save.

For additional information, you can refer to Send automatic out of office replies from Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support

Note: This feature requires to have an Exchange account, if you have IMAP or other third-party account such as Gmail, this feature is not yet available for these accounts in the new Outlook for Windows (Preview) version.

I look forward to your update. Please feel free to let me know how it goes or if I got you wrong. If you still have any concerns, please let me know so I can provide more suggestions.

Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day.

    Sincerely,

This new outlook is REALLY REALLY irritating! You cannot find anything anymore! Trying to leave an out of office message is not only difficult, you cannot find where to start! 😡🥵

Could the new Outlook be any worse? I've had to spend so much time trying to figure out things that were super quick and easy on the previous version. Apparently the option to revert back to the old version is not an option anymore. If it ain't broke...

I have Microsoft 365 Business Account, but there is no option for Automatic Replies when I switch to "Try the new Outlook" however if I revert to the original Outlook I am able to set Automatic Replies.

Is the new Outlook updated on your system? In Settings, you should see Accounts > Automatic Replies.

You will have to choose an account first and then enable automatic replies.

That said, the new Outlook is still limited compared to the classic Outlook for Windows.
