Emails stuck in my draft folder

Hello

I have emails that appear and disappear in my draft folder but aren't appearing in 'sent.' It's hugely worrying and has happened twice now. They don't have large attachments but there is one recipient in common - could it be something to do with their email address?

I am having the same issue in Outlook New (I'm on 365). Prior to this I was using Outlook and this never happened. It is not the internet connection.

Emails getting stuck in drafts happens regularly and to different recipients, sometimes individuals and sometimes groups of people, sometimes new emails and sometimes replies. I now have no confidence that my emails will send at all and have to check the sent items after sending an email.

Also, when stuck in drafts I usually cannot send from drafts but have to copy and paste into a new email.

I do like Outlook New but there are two bugs that need acknowledging and fixing. This one and the fact that read messages often revert to unread for no reason and the read/unread does not sync with the Iphone app.

    Minimum of 6 characters

In New Outlook emails randomly get stuck in Draft and are not sent. This seems to happen with replies. Microsoft's solution seems to involve webmail but I have Outlook precisely so I DON'T have to use webmail. The randomness of this failure to send is very concerning; i have to go into drafts and forward emails that are stuck in Draft.
Please advise what is going on.

I'm dealing with a variation on this theme.

For months, my New M365 Outlook (for Web) has stalled (or flatly refused to send) emails originating from a Group folder. Standard email written from the main Outlook screen works fine. But if I'm in Groups, see an email, and then try to answer from within that Group, it just sits there with the "sending ..." notice at the top of the email window and languishes in my Drafts folder. This is the error message I often (but not always) receive ...

Sometimes, I find out later that it really did send (all evidence to the contrary) because a recipient will answer me ... even though my "send" is still sitting in Drafts. Other times, it never sends at all. Always a real treat, of course, to guess which is true from message to message.

This is nuts. We're not talking about an obscure theme setting or buggy "bell & whistle" that would be nice if it worked but isn't terribly necessary. This is a core function of Outlook: the ability to send email.

    What the heck?

Ps. Please, please, please do not reply with the suggestion that I check "permissions" or "log in and log out." If you do, I will buy a fountain pen and faded parchment, curl into a fetal position, and write gibberish in Sanskrit for the rest of my days.

I have a similar sort of issue with New Outlook, where emails have got stuck in Drafts. I've re-opened the draft in a new window, deleted it from the Draft box, then sent it from the open window, which seems to clear the each most times.

However, the more annoying and frustrating issue has just developed following a recent Windows update, where I now get some emails stuck in my Inbox as a Draft and not appearing in the Draft box, or anywhere else! I can delete them, but they reappear in the Inbox within seconds and the original message I'm replying to is also now not in any of the tabs and I cannot resend.

This is a massive glitch and a huge frustration.

If I open my emails through the Outlook App or via Old Outlook, the stuck emails do not show, so it is just New Outlook on my PC that is the issue.

I've tried the Repair option - no change

I don't want to use Reset as I'll loose everything in my current New Outlook, include calendar invites, contacts, emails etc.
