    Hello Lorna,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. Based on the description you posted, it seems like you wish to separate your account from your husband's account in Outlook. I certainly would love to provide you the steps.

Since you have Outlook for Windows the only way to separate emails is to create 2 different Outlook profiles. You can have one profile each or more depending on what you prefer.

    To create an Outlook Profile:

    • Go to Control Panel and search or locate Mail
    • Open Mail and there will be 3 options, select Profiles
    • In the profile window, click add to create a new profile, you can name the profile whatever you like.
    • You also need to set up your email, it could be yours or your husbands
    • So you 2 need to have separate profiles. And please set the the setting in Outlook profiles "Prompt for a profile to be used" is selected so when you open outlook, you can choose which one to open. Example picture below
    • Then go ahead and open Outlook to test if all the changes took effect.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have further queries. Thank you so much!

    Regards,

    Nhiel T.
