How can I make the results of an outlook forms poll NOT anonymous?

I would like to send an email internally within my organization and get input from the employees. I used to be able to do this with voting buttons but that option no longer exists and has been replaced with the forms poll. The forms poll defaults to "anonymous response" if the employees respond within the email. If they choose to "vote in browser" then it requires their email address. How can I get their email address or otherwise track which employee has sent in the response if they respond in the email?

In the screen cap below you will see that the form is "read only and can't be edited" and I cannot change the settings even before I send the email with the poll.

Sorry, this doesn't answer my question. As I showed my screen cap, the "settings" are grayed out and I can't change them when I insert a forms poll into an outlook email. How do change the poll settings so I can see who sends which response to my email poll?

    Thank you.

    Dear Megan BURGESS,

    Thank you for your Feedback.

To record the names of the people who respond to your poll in Outlook, you need to change the form settings before you insert the poll into the email. Here are the steps you can follow:

    • Go to Microsoft Forms and sign in with your work or school account.
    • Open the form that you want to use for your poll, or create a new one.
    • Click on the Settings icon in the top right corner of the form.
    • Under Who can fill out this form, select Only people in my organization can respond and check the box for Record name.
    • Click on Share and copy the link to your form.
    • Go back to Outlook and create a new email message.
    • Go to the Insert tab and click on Poll.
    • In the Poll pane, paste the link to your form and click on Insert poll into email.
    • You will see a link to your poll in the body of the email and your name pre-populated in the CC line.
    • You can now send your poll in email and see who responds to it.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Dear Megan BURGESS,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. It will be a pleasure working with you,

There are a few ways to make the results of an Outlook forms poll not anonymous. Here are some possible options:

    • Set up your survey so names aren’t recorded when collecting responses. You can do this by selecting More form settings > Settingsin Microsoft Forms, and then choosing one of the following options under Who can fill out this form:
      • Anyone can respond - Anyone inside or outside of your organization can submit responses to your form or quiz. Responses automatically come in without names recorded.
      • Only people in my organization can respond- Only people that belong to your organization will be able to respond to your form or quiz. Record name - Uncheck this box so names aren’t recorded with responses. Note that this option is only available if you have a Microsoft 365 work or school account.
      • Specific people in my organization can respond - Only people or groups in your organization that you specify can respond to your form. Record name - Uncheck this box so names aren’t recorded with responses.
    • Create a poll in Outlook. You can do this by going to the Insert tab, and then clicking Poll. You can then type your question and options, and decide if you want responders to only select a single answer or multiple answers. If you want to allow multiple answers, toggle the Multiple answers button to the right so that it turns green. Click Insert poll into email, and then send your poll in email. Recipients will see the poll in the body of their email or get a link in email that will direct them to vote in a browser. You can then check the poll results in the voting card that is in the body of the email.
    • Use voting buttons instead of forms poll. You can do this by going to the Options tab > Use Voting Buttons > Custom. You can then type your question and options, separated by semicolons, in the Use voting buttons box. For example, you can type “Do you like chocolate;Yes;No;Maybe”. Click Close, and then send your email with voting buttons. Recipients will see the voting buttons in the message header of their email, and they can click on their choice. You can then track the voting responses by opening the original message that you sent.

I hope this helps you with your query.
