There seems to be no OR condition for making rules in Outlook (office 365 MAC) online.

I get SO much spam, with the same kinds of keywords in the subject line. I want to create a rule that says "subject includes, carloan OR debtconsolidation, OR carshield OR OnlineCash Advance OR etc......." x like 1000 key words.

I do not want to make 1000 seperate rules.

You can do this on the computer version of outlook 365 with "if any conditions are met" - but there doesn't seem to be the option for the online version.

Why is this?

I'm also confused if I check my email on my phone, and my outlook isn't open on my computer, are the rules on that outlook stills performing?? This is why I'm trying to set rules in the online version of my hotmail. I can't handle all the spam. It's out of control. I get like 10-50 spam emails a day still coming to my inbox. It's a waste of my time.

Thanks!

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today.

in Outlook on the web (and Outlook for Windows), words within the same condition are OR'd together but you need to add each word separately.

Two different conditions are always AND'd together - subject contains car AND sender address includes carloan

Let us know how it goes, we're here to help you further if needed.

Thank you SO much. This is not clear at all! I would have never thought to hit enter for and OR condition.

And it was impossible to find this answer googling it!

    Thanks again.
