Hello everybody,

I am in the role of an IT administrator who's administrating a network of windows 10 and windows 7 servers as well as clients with about 200 users. We are rolling out Windows 10 on every new machine and therefore faced many "new" issues while doing so (e.g. Windows Updates cannot be installed anymore after upgrading or Windows Security Center disabled).

This made me think of a management software to monitor the security status of every single domain machine. Is there anybody out there, who knows a software to monitor the AV-/ and the firewall status (in the style of VMM or similar MS stuff)?

Reason: In Windows 10 the users are getting many notifications about security, even if the notifications are not wanted (for example the internal firewall for domain networks should be disabled company-wide to fit in our configuration but users keep calling us because they are frightened of being a victim of malware).

If we do so, we need an alternative way to monitor the windows security center status of every single domain machine.

Im looking forward for your tips.

Kind Regards

According to your description, using Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) may monitor the security status of all your client systems.

With this sensor you can monitor all security products that are controlled by Windows Security Center / Windows Action Center, for example, firewalls, anti-virus or -malware software, and other products that integrate with it.
