Cannot sign into work e-mail and expecting important e-mails

I have been trying to sign into my work e-mail for the last 2 days. It says that the password is incorrect, when it is not.

I need help getting into my account as soon as possible!

And please, for the love of everything, if you reply saying to use the password reset or forgot password links, don't!
They do not work or I would not be here annoyed and upset because I cannot get into my account!

    I need to double check your question, are you unable to log into your outlook account in your browser? Trying a different browser does the same thing not work?

    If you are able to log in to your Microsoft account at the link I provided above(https://account.microsoft.com/), you should be able to log in to the web version of outlook using the same account information.( https://outlook.live.com/)

    I suggest that you also update your browser to the latest version, as this may be due to the new authentication implemented by Microsoft.     My apologies, I am not sure what you are talking about. I use the browser to log-in. I have always used the browser as it has a text to speech function that works well for me.

    Oh, wait, are you talking about the app that you can sign on with windows automatically when you log-in to your computer? Because I don't ever use it.

    The link I sent is for logging into your Microsoft account, so if you are able to log into your Microsoft account using this link properly, then we can rule out that your account issue is causing the inability to log in.

    Can you tell me what application you are currently using to log into your email account? If it is outlook, what is the specific version of it?

    Currently Microsoft has fully implemented a new style of authentication which mainly affects Microsoft accounts using the imap and pop protocols, if you are using a non-Microsoft application I suggest you update your application to the latest version first. When you configure your mail server, you need to select the authentication method as OAuth2. If you have used outlook application, currently Microsoft account login to outlook application is not able to configure mailboxes using IMAP/POP protocols, only Exchange protocol can be used. Also, outlook versions before outlook 2016 do not support Exchange protocol. So you can't log in to Microsoft mailbox using outlook version before outlook 2016.

    Yes, you understood that correctly. I just logged into that account a few days ago using that password. I have not updated it or changed it since then.

    It's hotmail.com

    The link you sent opened into my personal e-mail. Should it be doing that?

    Based on your description, I understand that you were trying to log into your work email and you were told that the password was incorrect, but you were able to confirm that the password for your account was correct. Please point out if my understanding is incorrect.

    I need to know what is the email suffix of the email you are currently using for work? (such as outlook.com)

    What is the email application you are currently using? (for example:outlook web version/new outlook/outlook 2021/outlook 2019/other non-Microsoft mail application?)

    You mentioned that you were told that the password you entered was incorrect, can you click on this link (https://account.microsoft.com/) to see if your Microsoft account is logged in properly to the Microsoft Account website. to verify that you still hold access to your Microsoft account.
