Account error loop

Anonymous
2024-08-23T06:21:28+00:00

I have an old account that I deleted, however I would like to reuse the address. When I try to sign into it, I get:

"We couldn't find an account with that username. Try another, or get a new Microsoft account."

When I click on "get a new Microsoft account." or "No account? Create one!" and select it from my account list, I get:

"That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account or <signupLink>get a new one</signupLink>."

When I follow the process from "Can’t access your account?", and enter in my account, I get:

"Try entering your Microsoft account again. We don't recognize this one."

When I search for account recovery and input my address, I get:

"Try entering your Microsoft account again. We don't recognize this one."

If I try filling in the recovery form, on the first stage, I get:

"The Microsoft account you've entered does not exist."

And yet, when I go to create an account with the same address from scratch, I get:

"Someone already has this email address. Try another name."

If I check Google Password Manager, it still has the account's login credentials saved.

What (If any) are my options going forward?

    Dear Theodore Semaan,

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft community.

According to its description, I have an old account that has been deleted, but I want to reuse the address. When I try to log into it I get:

“We can't find an account with that username. Try another. You make a series of efforts.

Since the community is more discussion-based, I don't have the authority to recover your account directly.

Filling out the account recovery form is the best option.

You can answer as many questions as you can, as completely as possible. When you ask a question that allows you to "add more," fill in as much information as possible. You can also choose to submit the form at least twice a day. Perseverance and patience are the keys to getting your account back.

Guessing is good, the wrong answer is not good for you.

You can fill out the form below: Recover your account(live.com) Help with the Microsoft account recovery form - Microsoft Support

I also recommend contacting our online account support team. While they can't help you recover your account directly, I'm sure you can learn more about your account there to better fill out the recovery form.

The following links can be used to contact the account's customer support team:

    1. Open the website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the "We're Here for You" box below, type MSA, click "Get Directions," and then click "Contact Customer Service" below.
    3. In this section, you need to sign up for a personal Microsoft account

Note: You can only sign up with a personal MSA, and enterprise accounts won't display the correct content. If you can't link the account, you can use a different account or create a new one to run it.

    1. In the "Products & Services" section, select "Other Products", select "Manage Account Security" as the category, and click Confirm
    2. You can select "Chat with a support expert in a web browser" to enter the chat window.

Note: Please contact our support team during local business hours.

Hopefully, your account will be restored soon.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes.

I wish you all the best.

    Best regards
