Dear Sean_071,
Good day!
Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist.
As per your mentioned description about "Calendar delegate randomness". To understand the situation and be able to offer you relevant suggestions, we would need a little more information from you. Kindly help us by providing the following information.
In the meantime, please check for the below:
1. check Delegate Permissions: Make sure that the delegate permissions for Director 1 are set correctly. The permissions should allow you to receive invites and have them show up in your inbox. Go toFile > Account Settings > Delegate Access to ensure that "Can view my appointments" and "Can edit my appointments" are both selected.
2. Review Calendar Options: In Outlook, go to File > Options > Calendar. Look for settings related to how meeting requests are handled and ensure that they align with your expectations.
3. Check Auto-Accept Settings: Ensure that the auto-accept settings for meeting requests are configured correctly. Go to File > Options > Mail > Tracking and make sure the option “Automatically process meeting requests and responses to meeting requests and polls” is unchecked
4. Update Outlook: Ensure that your Outlook are up to date. Go to File > Office Account > UpdateOptionsand select “Update
5. Check for Conflicting Rules: Ensure there are no conflicting rules set up that might be affecting how meeting requests are processed. Go to File > Manage Rules & Alerts and review the rules.
6. Test in Safe Mode: Start Outlook in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if an add-in is causing the problem. To start Outlook in Safe Mode, press Windows + R, type outlook.exe /safe, and press Enter.
7. Clear Cache: You can do this by closing Outlook and deleting the contents of the following folder: C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
8. Outlook Profiles: If the issue persists, consider creating a new Outlook profile for yourself. Go to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles and create a new profile.
9. Testing with Different Accounts: Since you noted that invites from Director 1 behave differently depending on the recipient, you might want to perform a few more tests:
- Have someone else (with a similar setup) send an invite from Director 1’s calendar to see if they experience the same issue.
- Test sending invites from Director 1's calendar to various email accounts (like personal email) to see if it’s specific to your account.
Note: Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day!
