Links showing up a dull green instead of blue.

When I copy a link from an internet page and then post it in an email in outlook to share with somebody, the link is posting as a dull green color instead of the typical bright blue. I have had some people say, "you had a link for me to click on?", because it can tend to blend into the surrounding text instead of standing out when it was the blue color.

How do I change this so when I paste a link it automatically shows up blue?

Like James Easton above, I too don't appear to have similar options. I am running the latest version of Outlook, but on PC. From Options>Mail>Signatures & Stationery, but there is no option for Hyperlink button.

Thank you for your reply. However, I don't have some of the options you are listing in these steps.

    1. Open Outlook on your Mac.
    2. Go to the "Outlook" menu in the top left corner and select "Preferences". (I have "settings" not "preferences".)
    3. In the Preferences window, click on the "Composing" tab.
    4. Under the "Stationery and Fonts" section, click on the "Fonts" button. (In the composing tab there is no "stationery and fonts" section and no "fonts" button. So the rest of the steps don't apply at this point.)
    5. In the Fonts window, look for the "Hyperlink" setting and click on the color box next to it.
    6. In the color picker, select the bright blue color that you want your links to appear as.
    7. Click "OK" to save the changes and close the Fonts window.
    8. Click "OK" again to close the Preferences window.

I am on a MacBook Pro using Outlook Version 16.86 (24060916), not Legacy Outlook. I hope that helps.

I have been facing the same issue and have identified that the dull green color was stemming from using Black theme in Outlook. When I changed it to White theme, the link colors became normal and I was able to change the style on those link colors. So I believe the issue is related to that theme or Outlook's handling of other themes besides White theme.

Am running up to date Outlook v 16.89.3 on Macbook Pro iOS Ventura 13.6.7. When I try to follow the steps of the fix described above, I do not appear to have similar options. Under Settings (I do not have "Preferences" option) I can choose "Fonts" under "Personal Settings" but there is no option for Hyperlink display. Under "Email/Composing" there is no option to change font size or color for text or hyperlinks. I have been able to change from the obnoxious teal to blue in Word but my Outlook has more restricted options than described here or elsewhere online .

    Hello Pastor DunDun,

Based on the details you provided, it seems the steps you are describing do not match the options available in the current version of Outlook for Mac that you are using (Outlook Version 16.86). Since the options aren't available in your Outlook for Mac application, I would recommend the following:

    1. Open Outlook and go to the "Settings" menu.
    2. Explore the different tabs and options available to see if there is a way to customize the appearance of hyperlinks or other formatting within the app.
    3. If you are unable to find the specific options you are looking for, you may want to check for any Outlook updates or consult Microsoft's support documentation for the latest version of Outlook for Mac.

The discrepancy between the steps I had provided and the Outlook application you are using suggests the instructions may be for an older version or a different operating system.

Please help me vote on it. With your vote, other users looking for the same details on this community site can easily find this thread.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,
