Sharepoint Integration with GitHub

I am completely new to Sharepoint platform and I have created a communication sitewhich has a list with a column GitHub Repo link,when this column value is created or updated, there should be a callout to GitHub and get some parameters like Last Commit Date, number of contributors etc to be updated in other columns of the list in the SharePoint site. Can you share any leads for the same?
