Outlook.com: Switching emails keeps scroll position in reading pane instead of scrolling to top of selected email

Since about a year now, using Outlook.com, when I switch between emails by selecting them, the scroll position of the reading pane is kept. So if I select an email, I scroll down to the bottom of that email, and select another email, I will also see the bottom of that newly selected email. Of course, that is never desirable: selecting a new email should always navigate to the top of the email (you could argue that if you then move *back* to an email you previously opened, you want to open the reading pane at the position you were at; but even that is arguable).

This happens *every* time. It's extremely annoying.

I tried this in Chrome and Firefox, with two entirely different accounts, so it seems to be the case everywhere.

Please fix this quickly, or at least offer the option to scroll to the top of a newly opened message (although I can't think of any reason why anyone would want this behaviour).

Why are you not using the Win Mail app with your mail accounts?

I cannot remember when I last used web browser access
