Dear Kbudd
Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community
Based on your description, I am unable to understand exactly what problem you are experiencing, are you suffering from a large number of intruders trying to log in? If my understanding is wrong, please point it out.
Remove login privileges for current account name
This programme can be very effective in stopping intruders who already know your account name. To do this, click this link( https://account.live.com/AddAssocId)
Log in to your Microsoft account . From this screen, you can add an alias as a new login name for your account. Due to the current security risks associated with your account, I recommend that you create an alias with the outlook.com extension that does not require authentication. (If you are using the custom alias below, you will be prompted to verify that this alias exists. Only actual mailboxes can be added as aliases.
I recommend that you wait 48 hours for the alias to take full effect to prevent problems in subsequent steps
Then, you need to click [Set as primary alias] to the right of the new alias to make it the primary alias. After that, click [Change Login Privileges] at the bottom and remove the tick mark in front of the current account name. You have successfully removed the login privileges of the account name. You can test this by typing your account name into the login screen and Microsoft will alert you that the username cannot be used to log in, which will prevent you from logging in, the same as someone trying to hack into your account. Please note that in this case you will not be able to log in using this account name. Please remember the account name you changed. Additionally, we have tested that you can still send and receive emails using this account name and that the sender can use your account name as the recipient of the email and that email functionality is not affected.
WARNING: Please do not delete your Microsoft account alias, once your Microsoft account alias is deleted, you will lose the alias forever, which will affect the ability to receive emails under that name, which will result in problems such as you not being able to receive CAPTCHA codes sent to name, and the deletion of the alias is irreversible and unrecoverable!
In addition, due to the potential security risks associated with your account, I recommend that you update and add additional security information to your account by clicking on [Security] - [Manage how I login] on the left hand side of the login site to prevent possible account theft.Tips: You can add multiple email addresses or multiple mobile phone numbers as verification information. The purpose of adding multiple security details is to protect against the possibility of the security details being unavailable.
This reply may not directly address your issue, so feel free to let me know how it goes any time by repling below.
I look forward to hearing from you!
