How to trigger credentials prompt when connecting to admin share of another workstation?

The thing is we use LAPS in our organization and time to time need to connect to workstation admin share to perform IT support related activities. Therefore workstation local admin password needs to be entered but credentials prompt is not appearing at all. We just get a message that workstation is not accessible.

So how do we get this prompt?

    Hello @Kriimsilmm ,

    Thank you for posting here.

1.Are the machines you are currently logging in and the machines you need to access both domain-added machines?
2.What user account did you use to login the current machine? Local Administrator or Domain Administrator or local user or domain user?
    3. Would you please check if you can access the Admin$ share using IP address or server name of the machine that you want to access?
4.Did you have the same issue when you access all the machines in your company?
5.Would you please provided the screenshot with error message?

Please check if you configured Configure the policy value for Computer Configuration >> Windows Settings >> Security Settings >> Local Policies >> User Rights Assignment >> "Deny access to this computer from the network" on this machine that you accessed.

Logon this machine using domain Administrator.
    Open CMD (run as Administrator).
Type gpresult /h C:\gpo.html and click Enter.
Open gpo.html and check if there is such gpo setting above.

Hope the information above is helpful.

Should you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,
    Daisy Zhou
