Window IOTCore Docker Image does not start

I am trying to run a Docker image of Windows IOT Core. The command I am using is the one documented in the Docker Hub page related to the product.

docker run mcr.microsoft.com/windows/iotcore:1809

However, I always get an error response, indicating a timeout while waiting for notification. For instance:

docker: Error response from daemon: hcsshim::CreateComputeSystem d38a8628617b0d063693afd46059f9f1eb1cdb2dedfb5514bbdcb7d5d0f9c22e: hcsshim: timeout waiting for notification.

Hi,
May I know will you only encounter this problem only run the windows iot core image?
Using command docker pull... then docker run... what will happen?

The pull completes successfully. When trying to run, after a while, I get the error I posted above.

II am running Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19041.928] Enterprise. I am also using Docker v20.10.7, which I think is the latest one.

Hi,
I installed docker on windows 10 enterprise and then tried to run the Windows iot core image and encountered the same problem as yours.
Checked the official link for the Windows IoT Core base image and noticed following description:

About This Image
This is a base image for Windows Server containers. This image carries the IoT Core base OS image.

I am not sure if this image is only suitable for windows server system.

I have also tried to install it on a virtual Windows Server of my Company (Windows Version 10.0.17763.1879/same tag on Docker). I thought I was getting the same error but instead I am getting a "hcsshim::System::Start: failure in a Windows system call".
