Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Hi, psbecker
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
According to your description, when you start Outlook 2021, the system will take you to the Gmail login page. I understand how you feel.
Have you added a Gmail account in Outlook 2021?
First, you can do basic troubleshooting: find "Task Manager" > right-click "Microsoft Office" and "Microsoft Outlook" > select "End Task".
Then, reopen Outlook 2021 or open Outlook in safe mode.
If you still can't open Outlook, you can try to test it with a new Outlook profile. Because some problems may also be caused by profile corruption. You can create a new Outlook profile to see if there is a problem. (Please note that you should not delete the old profile to prevent data loss.)
1. Open Control Panel->User Accounts->Mail-> Show Profiles.
2. In general tab of the prompt window, click Add->name the new profile and configure your account to it.
- In general tab, select “Prompt for a profile to be used”, then save the changes.
- Restart Outlook with this profile to test again.
If the new profile does not solve your problem, it means that there is no problem with the Outlook application.
There may be a problem with your Windows system. For Windows system problems, you can report to Microsoft or contact Microsoft Online Support.
