Windows 10 21H1 RDP to Windows 2019 10.0.17763 VM - screen black and unresponsive
These are the Event Viewer errors from Events\Applications and Service Log\Microsoft\Windows\RemoteDesktopService-RdpCoreTS\Operational during recent RDP attempts from my workstation to the server. Similar errors as posted in similar question back from 2018.

'Failed GetConnectionProperty' in CUMRDPConnection::QueryProperty at 2884 err=[0x80004001]

'Reverse Connection Listener Name not found. Default Listener Name will be used.' in CUMRDPProtocolManager::CreateListener at 4151 err=[0x2]

'Connection doesn't support logon error redirector' in CUMRDPConnection::GetLogonErrorRedirector at 4179 err=[0x80004001]

Still happening. When I try to open the console from vSphere and login there I see the same behavior.

Based on another Internet question, I also tried adding HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\ a new d-word (32-bit) value and name it UseURCP with decimal value of 0 – to no avail.

Windows Admin Center is really saving the day here as I can do most anything necessary

Help and TIA

Tim

    Hi,
    If the issue still occurred after using console, it could be related the system itself or network issue.
    Previous versions of Windows had similar problems,it could be related to RemoteFX. But now RemoteFX feature has been removed in new Windows version.
    So I suggest that check for update to install new security updates. It could make sure we use the latest OS version.
    Do you use VPN and IPV6? If so, I consider that you could disable it temporarily to check.
    Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.
    Best Regards,
    Carl
