Outlook.com not loading - Error 500

I am getting the Error 500 on Outlook.com only, my local Outlook works just fine. I see a lot of discussion on how to fix it, but some of the suggestions do not match the current setup in the Admin Center. Is there a solution to this issue? I need to add a group iCAL to the calendar and it only appears to be available online. I am not sure why I can't add a calendar to the Outlook local install that is a subscription calendar.

Many thanks for your kind response,

Based on the screenshot you have provided, it seems that you are using Outlook on the macOS device (Outlook for Mac). However, Outlook for Mac can only import iCal events that are saved in the Export (.ics) format at the moment. I do understand your query here but the feature you are looking for is feasible only in the outlook for windows and outlook on the web. I do apologize for the inconvenient this may cause.

Therefore, could you please provide us with the screenshot of the error message you are getting when you try to sign in to your Outlook on the web using the same account?

I look forward to your response. Kindly note that the above requested information is required for further analysis and troubleshooting of your situation. Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day!

    Sincerely,

My outlook does not look like that. There is no option to add anything but a Shared Calendar and to Import ICS.

Many thanks for your kind response,

May I please double confirm if you are using a Microsoft 365 business email account, a Microsoft personal account such as outlook.com, hotmail.com or live.com or third-party email provider account?

May I please double confirm if you are using Exchange, IMAP or POP email account setup in your outlook app?

May I please double confirm if you tried to add the calendar following the steps? if not, kindly try it and check if there is any difference.

    • Open Outlook and go to your calendar.
    • In the sidebar, right-click "Other Calendars" and select "Add Calendar" > "From Internet."
    • In the box that pops up, paste your iCal link and click "OK."
    • The iCal calendar will now appear under "Other Calendars."

If the issue still persists, could you please provide us with the screenshot of your outlook version details? To check your outlook version, go to File -->Office Account.

Could you please also provide us with the error 500 you are referring?

I look forward to your response. Kindly note that the above requested information is required for further analysis and troubleshooting of your situation. Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day!

    Sincerely,

    • May I please double confirm if you tried to subscribe to the iCAL link or tried to import the iCAL file to your calendar? I am trying to subscribe, but cant get the calendarto open online due to error 500.
    • May I please double confirm how you add the iCAL to your local Outlook? I am unable to add to local Outlook as the only option is “Add Shared” or “Import ICS”.
    • May I please double confirm if you are trying to add the iCAL to your personal primary calendar or custom created calendar in your account? I am trying to add the iCal to my company calendar. This is an outside calendar that I want to add on top of my standard calendar.

The calendar is not the real issue, I am unable to access my outlook from the web. I would rather add the subscription using the local outlook, but there is no option to do so.
