    Hi, Cagla Celik

If the account doesn't have any rules set up and the forwarding feature in step 3 is not turned on, then your emails shouldn't have been forwarded to strangers.

Can you describe in more detail the scenario in which you received the bounce email.

Does it only happen when you receive emails from this one account?

Or do you receive bounced emails anytime you receive an email from anyone?

Can you share the details of the bounced email with us, I have enabled private messaging for you, you can share it with us in the private message window.

Please click on your avatar in the top right corner of the page, then click on My Profile - View private messages.

I do not have any rules created. So that is good.

Question: What do I do after checking the box of enable for forwarding? I cannot just save the page and it asks for an email address to forward the email (for step3).

    Please help!!

    Hello Cagla Celik

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I know you've been getting tons of returned mail notices. I completely understand how you feel and it is very disturbing.

Please check if the bounced emails have a forwarding message similar to the one shown below. If it does, your email may have been forwarded and the forwarded inbox is not available, resulting in bounced emails being received.

If you haven’t manually done this, please check your email forwarding settings and rules.

    1. Log in to Outlook Web.
    2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner to enter email settings.
    3. Go to Mail > Forwarding and check if forwarding is enabled. Image
    4. Go to Mail > Rules and check if there are any forwarding rules set up. Image

If you find any forwarding actions that you did not set up, disable them. Additionally, if your account settings have been changed without your knowledge, it is likely that your account has been hacked. I recommend that you immediately change your password and check for any sensitive information in your account, such as aliases and verification methods. You can refer to this support website. How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account - Microsoft Support

If you do not find any forwarding settings in your email, please try using a different device and observe if your account encounters the same issue on that device. If it works fine on the other device, it is possible that your current device has malware. It is recommended to back up important data and then perform a full scan of your device using antivirus software.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best Regards,
