Adding resource groups to the scope of an existing service principal

I created a Service Principal with a scope that contained 2 resource groups. I would like to add a third but can't find anywhere in the portal that shows the existing let alone allows adding more, and I can't find an example of doing this through CLI either.

Could you please share steps you referred to created Service Principal with a scope that contained 2 resource groups ?

Are you referring to "Scopes definition from Expose API" option from App registration blade as shown below ?

Assign a role to the Service Principal, like here ?
