Hello,

I plan to install PU KB5001946 on a SharePoint 2016 on premise farm. In the KB, it states, "The OneDrive for Business modern user experience requires an active Software Assurance contract at the time that the experience is enabled, either by installation of the public update or by manual enablement. If you don't have an active Software Assurance contract at the time of enablement, you must turn off the OneDrive for Business modern user experience." Does the OneDrive for Business modern user experience apply if what's implemented is a SharePoint 2016 on premise farm? I just wondering if I need to be concerned about turning off the OneDrive for Business modern user experience

    Hi @MDuBose ,

As the article mentioned, if you don't have an active Software Assurance contract at the time of enablement, you need to turn off the OneDrive for Business modern user experience.

Under normal circumstances, other features of SharePoint will not be affected, however it may affect the OneDrive modern user experience, so if you do not have an active Software Assurance contract, I would suggest you turn off and follow the instructions to turn off this feature.

Please refer to this article for more information:
