Greetings,

I have a program that was developed in WinForms with C# and .NET standard. I want to update it to give it more modern functionality and to use .NET core. I've searched and search for a clue what to use for this planned upgrade. The things I've read about the future plans for Windows development have left me more than a little confused to say the least. Nothing I've read gives me any confidence in Windows or if MS even knows what direction they are going in. I've was considering UWP, but I've read a blog post it's now being replaced. I have know idea what to do at this point. Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Universal Windows Platform (UWP)

From MSDN, the "evolution" seems to be Project Reunion :
    Windows App SDK
    What is Project Reunion?

But I did some tests and I could not even compile an Hello World on my OS (Windows 10 1909, VS 2019).
(first time in >30 years that I use MS products...)
