Hello,

User has a problem with booking appointment on their own calendar. When they book appointment for there selves and set the "Shown as" to "Busy", "Working Elsewhere", "Tentative" or "Out of Office" it shows on their calendar with no problem. However, when they book an appointment and set the "Shown as" to "Free" it doesn't appear on the calendar, but the user still gets a reminder.

So the question is why is the appointment now showing on the calendar when the user as the "Shown as" to "Free" when it works for all the other abvaiable options.

Kind Regards,

Christian Guise

    Dear Christian Guise,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

In order to understand your query and provide possible solution, May I please double confirm if you are experiencing same issue when you book appointments through Outlook on the web? If you haven't check it yet, try to book appointment through outlook on the web (https://outlook.office.com/) using the same credential and set the appointment as "Free" and check if the issue persists. This will help us to narrow down if the issue is with the account or the outlook app itself.

    • If the appointments are shown properly in the outlook on the web, you may try to reset your Outlook calendar view and check if there is any difference. To reset your Outlook calendar view, Go to View --> Reset View.
    • May I please know if this issue is particular to the appointments or you are experiencing same issue with meeting invites?
    • Could you please provide us with the screenshot of your outlook version details? see What version of Outlook do I have? - Microsoft Support

I look forward to your response. Kindly note that the above requested information is required for further analysis and troubleshooting of your situation. Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated.

Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day.Sincerely,Libeamlak | Microsoft Community Moderator
