Depends on the type of mail account, IMAP perhaps? and not Exchange

Good day Community
I trust you are doing well.
I'm reaching out to the community for assistance and guidance, regarding setting up rules in the New Outlook Version. I have searched similar questions on the community platform, Google, and YouTube, but unfortunately, I'm not succeeding in resolving my dilemma.
On my settings, the following message appears: Conditional Formatting Rules are not supported for the selected account. I do not have an option to proceed with creating a rule (see attached image).
When I right-click on the email for which I want to create a conditional formatting rule, the drop-down selection does not give me an option to select create a rule (see attached image).
Please let me know if there is any other information you need.
Many thanks in advance for the support and assistance.
Kind regards
Thelma

Using WIN11 PRO new Outlook.. I note the same issue on outlook.com email addresses. My main MS email address that has the Office 365 account shows a conditional format option that works... however my MS email address (not an alias) does not. both are ******@outlook.com addresses.
