Windows Hello Not Working on Administrator Account

Hi there!

I realize I had made a rather large mistake by merging and moving my base user account some years ago on windows 10 home to my hidden administrator account, and now they are one and the same. However, I am unable to use Windows Hello in my sign in menu, as it cannot detect the camera. When I access the settings to set it up, it encounters an error and closes. Weirdly enough, when using the camera as a webcam, it works absolutely fine, and this issue did not persist before I merged and moved accounts. Is there any hidden permission or setting I can do to fix this, or at the very least tell my sign in page to no longer use windows hello even though it isn't set up? Thanks!

Windows Hello not working on administrator account maybe the built-in Administrator is not meant to be used as an operating account, only for emergencies to be unhidden to perform rescue or test operations.
There are other times which it will not work properly, as a reminder that it is not for daily use.
We could try to create a working admin account and then hide it .

Thank you for the response. However, I have been operating on the elevated administrator account for over a year, and while sometimes I do regret using this for everyday use as it creates complications, I am wondering if there is any way I can overcome one of these complications by enabling the use of Windows hello on this administrator account. I cannot exactly go back at this point, as Id need to create a whole new user account and merge and copy with the administrator account, not a wise option. Any more help would be greatly appreciated.
