Are there any recommendation on backup sql server database to block blob ? Like which blocksize and maxtransfersize is optimal, and also how many backup files can be parallel at each time ?

block blob max size for each sql backup is around 200GB .

thanks . but I am a bit confuse , TSQL backup using BLOCKSIZE is 64KB only

so what's the max blob size of each of the database backup file can be ?

64KB BLOCKSIZE is default for tape device. The device type of Block blobs is URL.

For information about Block blobs, suggest you read the MS document Understanding block blobs, append blobs, and page blobs that I mentioned above.

Hi @sakuraime ,

The default size is 512 for URL, but you do not need to specify this options. This option is unnecessary because BACKUP automatically selects a block size that is appropriate to the device.
