Glad to hear this issue has been solved by yourself, thanks for sharing. Yes, put the USB as primary boot in BIOS is a common setting before we install Windows 10, and this configuration doesn’t need to be change after installation complete.
I guess that your device connect to school network and the first boot order is network adapter, then meet with the issue. Change the primary boot order is the correct method.
