For every email i send i receive thisemail from @hotmail.com : Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: ay*****@hotmail.com (ay************@hotmail.com) The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending your message later, or contact the recipient directly. Can someone please help? Looks impossible to find Microsoft contact details. Tx lucia

    Dear lucia pinto,

    Thank you for letting me know that the issue has been resolved.

    The rule that was not set by you may have been created by a hacker, here are my suggestions to stop the hacker from continuing to try to log in and improve the security of your account. (Note: The following suggestions may take you some time to complete, but they are effective in protecting the security of your account, and we appreciate your understanding and co-operation)

    1. Temporarily revoking login privileges for the current account name can be very effective in stopping intruders who already know your account name.

    Steps:

    • Sign in to your account
    • Then click on Your Information on the left and then Edit Account Information on the right side of the screen that opens.
    • On this screen, you can add an alias as a new login name for your account. It is recommended that you create an alias with the extension @outlook.com.
    • Then, you need to click [Set as primary alias] to the right of the new alias to make it the primary alias. After that, click the [Change Login Privileges] button at the bottom and remove the tick in front of the original account name.

    This will prevent you from logging in, as well as for those trying to hack into your account. Please note that you will not be able to log in using this account name in this case.

    Please note that you are only revoking the login privileges of the original account. Do not delete the original account alias! After deleting an alias in a Microsoft domain, you will not be able to recover it.

    Please remember the account name you changed. In addition, we have tested that you can still send and receive emails using your original account name, and the sender can use your account name as the recipient of the email, and the email functionality will not be affected.

    2. In addition, please review the following steps to further secure your account:

    • Log in to your Microsoft account (Sign in to your account), type Security, click Change Password, and change your password to a strong password.
    • Under Security, click Manage Login Options and make sure all the current alternatives are available. Update them in a timely manner and try to continue to add more than two alternatives.
    • Under Security, click Manage Login Options, scroll down to find Logout All Locations and click it. Then, generate a recovery code at the bottom and save it. Once you have done this, the system will log you out of the account from all locations within 24 hours. After you change your password, no one else will be able to log in to your account again.
    • On the Account page, click Devices and delete all unknown devices.
    • Download Secure Authenticator on your mobile phone and add your account. Then, under ‘Manage Login Options’ above, turn on Dual Authentication. After this, you will need to log into your account using the Passcode Forms + Verification method.

    Thanks à lot, that fixed the issue. I didn't set that rule that was indeed there. Do you know how that rule could have been set up? Did someone log in into my account?

    I realise that for every email you send, you receive a bounce from ******@hotmail.com I am deeply aware that this makes your inbox confusing, I am totally in your shoes and understand how you feel and I will do everything I can to help you.

    You can check if someone has changed your email forwarding settings and rules.

    1. Sign in to Outlook
    2. Click thegear icon in the top right corner to enter your email preferences.
    3. Go toEmail > forwarding and check if forwarding is turned on.
    4. Go to Mail > Rules and make sure that forwarding rules are configured. Check if [Action] includesforwarding or redirecting to an email address.

    I'm sure it can't be a rule you set yourself, so disable it and delete any email addresses you don't recognize(ay***********@hotmail.com).

    If your Webmail settings aren't the problem, it's possible that some external applications are managing your emails.
