    Dear Jacob,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I hope you're having a great day.

I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused.

    Could you confirm the following:

    • What type of email account are you using? (e.g., Personal, Business, Educational) If it's a business account, are you an administrator or an end user in your organization?
    • You can't access Outlook and are you seeing a 401 erroror are you seeing another error message? If yes, could you share details with us?

I would like to share the information with you about the current known incident with error code: 401 caused by a recent service update. Many other users have also reported this issue and it may be that this server-side error is also affected on their account.

The 401 error you're seeing is part of a known issue that Microsoft has officially acknowledged. It is currently affecting Outlook logins on various platforms, including desktop, mobile, and web. This means that the problem is not related to anything on your end and you have done nothing wrong!

Microsoft has identified this as a known issue and is actively investigating it. It seems to be affecting several users globally.

You can monitor the current status of the service through the Microsoft 365 Service Health Dashboard at this link: Microsoft service health status

At this time, no action is required on your part. Once Microsoft releases the fix, everything will automatically go back to normal, and you can access your emails again.

Again, I really appreciate your patience and understanding as Microsoft works to resolve this.

Thank you for your kind patience, I look forward to your response.

    Best Regards,
