DevOps Sprints with different dates for development and testing

Hi

Our test team begins, and completes, their testing two weeks after the developers.

Generally, there is nothing to test for the first two weeks, and also they need time to test after the developers have completed their development.

How can I set up a sprint where the developers and testers can work on the same User Stories, and where the correct data will be shown in the burn down charts?

How do others deal with this?

Surely, it's not possible to have the same dates for Dev and Test? What do testers do for the first few days before there is something to test, and how can they test the things that get completed on the last day of Dev?

Hope this makes sense!

Thanks
