Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
I am having the same issue. Has there been a successful resolution to this issue?
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hello, We have recently had several users who have Outlook (classic) that has been updated to version 2505 (Build 18827.20164 Click-to-Run) Current Channel.
These users cannot get location suggestions when creating new events/updating events in the calendar. It wont even pop up to say its loading suggestions when yiu click into it. We have tried :
We even have users on builds before any 2025 updates that work fine. We are out of ideas in all honesty.we saw where it was merely a temporary bug for some forums but it has been longer than the usual temporary time frame by a lot.
Any ideas would be great, thanks.

I have the same issue. It began in the last week & is affecting outlook for android, outlook classic (64bit version), new outlook & outlook.com in the browser. Edge & MS 365 are fully up to date, & the problem was not fixed after a recent MS 365 update. Android outlook was updated in the last week, & I'm not sure if that was what broke it, or the MS 365 update just before that.
In the calendar view of outlook classic, typing in the location field will result is searching for searching for "suggestions in the results field", forever, with no results ever being displayed. On the android app & in the browser it doesn't even appear to search. It used to work well. I have tried multiple locations, including easy ones like "starbucks" & locations that the calendar has found many times before. Nothing.
I have all options for connected experiences enabled in every installation & machine, & on my phone. Location permissions are enabled. I have also tried clearing the cache on the outlook android app & repairing MS 365 on all my PCs, but no effect. My machines are all a mix of Win 11 home & Pro - it affects all of them. The problem is also on both of my outlook.com accounts, and affects every internet connection tried (my own ISP, my fathers ISP and 2 different mobile networks).
I am in NZ (in case this is relevant).

Hello, thank you for the quick reply. Here are the answers to your list and I will send the screenshot in the private messages.
They are all using G3s and Microsoft exchange email accounts
exchange online
It saves as a previously entered location like a "most recent" and may pop up if you type again, if submitted with a manually entered location it will not appear on the meetings sent to others as they will receive TBD for the meeting address. You can click location to see any of the meeting rooms we have but they too are not showing when typing.
Dear Isaac,
Thanks for your detailed report and for the extensive troubleshooting steps you've already taken. Since you're using Outlook (classic) version 2505 (Build 18827.20164) on the Current Channel and location suggestions are not appearing when creating or updating calendar events, let’s try to narrow this down further.
To help us investigate more effectively, could you please confirm the following:
We’re aware that some builds have had temporary regressions with location services, but since this issue persists across multiple versions and configurations, we want to rule out any environmental or policy-based blockers.
For the screenshot and the export of the Group Policy settings that applied to Outlook, you can provide me through Private message, which I've sent you.
Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
