app needed?

Hello,
I am trying to download Project and visio but neither would download because it said I did not have an app to open the program??? I am very new to this and currently in school. Please help.

    Welcome to Q&A forum!

    Visio and Project are not included in the Office suite, but are sold as stand-alone applications. If you don't have Visio and Project, you can buy or try them.
    For more information:
    Install Visio or access Visio for the web
    Install Project

    Besides, which version of Office are you using?
    Please refer to this article to determine whether Visio and Project can be installed on the same machine as other versions of Office.

    hello,
    Just figured out how to respond to the answers.... Im a student and still a little confused. I wish there were better tutorials for people new to the MS world. I didnt think it downloaded but after restarting my computer a few days later the app just showed up on my screen. no idea how but I have it now. Thanks for your help!
