Welcome to our new Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Check if my understanding is correct, you want to test a new ERP on the Windows 2012R2, before installing that on the Server 2012R2 in production environment, you want to test on a same setting configured Server 2012R2.

If my understanding is correct, you may set up a VM in the Hyper V host, then do the same configuration as the Server 2012R2 in production environment, and test on the VM first before installing new applications on the physical Server 2012R2.
