Outlook.com won't let me create a Rule for a domain, only a specific (full) email address?

If an email is sent to Junk that is 'not Junk', I move it to Inbox. I then select the tick-box for that email and click on Rules>Create Rule.

I have tried both with and without the '@' symbol, but Outlook won't let me create the Rule - it just says 'Please add a Sender' and the Save button is grey!

I turned to outlook.com because neither the Outlook for Android or New/Classic Outlook desktop apps allow you to create Rules!!!

How do I create a Rule for a domain, not individual email addresses??? TIA

Dear UKdeejay,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the forums!

From your description, I understand that you're having problems creating rules with your domain name.

It seems that you can only create rules using full email addresses and I understand your situation.

In fact, you can use Outlook's “keyword feature” for the purpose of creating rules for domains:

When you are using new Outlook, go to Settings>Mail>Rules, when creating a new rule, at the 'Add a condition' choose Keywords>Sender address includes. This allows you to enter just the domain name and then create rules for it! See below screenshot:

Feel free to share how it goes and let me know if you need further assistance!

Best regards,

    Thanks for your reply, @Harris.Z

What a complete waste of time and energy...!

Microsoft, just give us the ability to add a Domain to Safe/Blocked Senders directly.
