    Dear Erwin The Great

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the Community.

Regarding your feedback that your account is reporting an error prompting you to try another method when verifying, I know how you feel about wanting to verify your account as soon as possible and get back to using it.

You can try the following method:

1 Turn on a VPN or proxy and jump the current network environment to another country or region. Or, if you have turned on the VPN or proxy, you need to turn off the VPN or proxy and switch the current network environment to a domestic environment.

2 Reboot your home router. This is because a router reboot will reset your network.

3 Log in using another browser

4 Log in using the privacy mode of your browser

5 Open the hotspot using your cell phone. Computer shared mobile hotspot login

    6 Reset device network

Press Win + S to search the bar, type CMD to find “Command Prompt”, right-click to open as administrator, carefully copy and paste the following 3 commands:

    netsh int ip reset

    Winsock Netsh reset

    ipconfig /flushdns

The above commands serve to reset the network connection protocol and reboot the computer.

7 Changing the IP address of the device

Didn't work after following your instructions. End up on the same screen.

    Dear Erwin The Great

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the Community.

Have you tried everything I suggested above? Because this error means that your current network environment has an abnormality in linking to the Microsoft authentication server.

If you can, you can ask a friend abroad to log into your account to unlock it.

If it still shows the same error after trying them all, you can contact chat to try to unlock your account. You need to fill in as much account information as possible to prove that you are the account holder, if you don't have another Microsoft account, you can apply for a new Microsoft account to recover your old one, hope you can recover your account successfully, good luck.

You can try logging on to the following website

    Contact Us - Microsoft Support

Enter your details of the problem e.g. msa.

Then tap Contact Support in the bottom left corner.

Choose from the following categories: Other Products, Manage Account Security.

TIPS: Please contact us during local working hours on weekdays, CHAT does not work 24 hours a day.

    Best wishes

Yes, I tried everything you suggested. I also used 3 different devices using 3 different networks. Not of it worked.

    Dear Erwin The Great

    Thanks for your reply

If it's still the same situation, it means that your current network environment is indeed unable to contact the Microsoft server, causing this error to keep appearing.

If you can you try a VPN or proxy, or if you have friends abroad, you can ask them to log in to your email to verify.

    Best wishes
