How do I show a calendar appointment as "Out of Office" for organizer (me) but "Free" for invitees?

In the old Outlook, you could send a calendar appointment to invitees (example: "I will be out of office") and in that appointment, leave the "Show As" to "Free". Then, you could go back in and update "Show As" to "Out of Office", hit "close" and you would get a prompt to send to attendees, which you could decline. This would enable the sender to show the appointment as "Out of Office" but keep it from showing as "Out of Office" for all attendees. Now, when I attempt to do this, I hit the X to close the appointment after changing to OOO, and am prompted with "Are you sure you want to discard changes?" How do I do this in new Outlook?
