Hello there,

I have 2 dynamic disk as 2TB each in my Windows 2012 R2 server by using spanned volumes. Recently, it ran out of space so I added one new disk 1TB and spanned the volume but it didn't show the new size of the volume.

Thanks in advance!
Nick

    Hi Nick,
Would you check if the user and client of this disk is configured?

Also if possible, please run diskpart in powershell and provide us with the disk list:

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi Nick,
Maybe you can try resizing and optimizing the disk.
For resizing you can refer to this:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/hyper-v/resize-vhd?view=windowsserver2019-ps
For Optimizing you can refer to this:

    Thanks for your time.
    Best regards,

Hi Danny, Thanks for the respond. My 4TB spanned drive is running out of space and and no room to resizing and optimize. My issue is after adding a new 1TB disk space and extended the the volume by using spanned volume method, I didn't see the new size in 5TB.

    Hi Nick,

Not sure if I missed anything, but according to this screenshot, these 3 online disks add up to 5 TB, and it seems that they’re working properly.

    Thanks for your time.

    Danny
