How can I disable "write protected" from my usb drives after I formatted them (windows 10)

I have several usb drives that I have formatted. Now, I cannot write to or even format because my computer says that they are "Write Protected"". How do I disable the write protection. The thumb drives are useless as they are. Thanks for any help.
