    Dear All Staff,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue you're experiencing with accessing Excel Online spreadsheets. We acknowledge the error message:
“The webpage might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.”

Please find below the recommended steps to help resolve this issue:

    1. Clear browser cache and cookies
      • Go to your browser settings and clear browsing data for the following sites: office.com, sharepoint.com, officeapps.live.com.
      • Then close and reopen your browser, and sign back into your Microsoft account.
    2. Try a different browser or device
      • If possible, test opening the file from another device to determine if the issue is specific to your current setup.
    3. Verify file location and access permissions
      • Ensure the file still exists in SharePoint or OneDrive.
      • Confirm that you have editing permissions for the file.
      • Make sure you're signed in with the correct Microsoft account that has access rights.
    4. Download and open the file using Excel desktop
      • Navigate to OneDrive or SharePoint and download the file to your computer.
      • Open it using the Excel desktop application to ensure access to the data.
    5. Review SharePoint library settings
      • If the file is stored in a SharePoint document library, check the “Open documents in the browser” setting under Library Settings > Advanced Settings.
    6. Inspect file content
      • If the file contains macros, VBA, or advanced features, open it in the Excel desktop app and use the “Inspect Document” feature to review and adjust unsupported elements.

Please note that our initial response may not resolve the issue immediately. However, with your cooperation and more detailed information, we can work together to identify the best solution.

Done all of the above for both browsers with no resolution. Tried manually access without bookmarks and either get errors or other pages come up I have to login individually instead of my access key working throughout the browser

    Dear All Staff,

    Thank you for your response.

We understand that you are still experiencing issues when accessing Excel Online spreadsheets, including being redirected to other pages or having to log in step-by-step instead of your access key working consistently across the browser session.

In this case, we recommend a few additional steps:

    1. Try opening the link in an Incognito/Private browsing window to check if there’s a conflict with old session data.
    2. Sign in again via the Office.com homepage before accessing the Excel link to refresh your authentication token.
    3. Check if your browser is blocking third-party cookies or scripts, especially if you have any security software or browser extensions enabled.
    4. If possible, please share a screenshot of the error or unexpected behavior, as this will help us better analyze the issue and provide a more accurate solution.

    Best regards,

    Dear All Staff,

I hope the information I shared earlier was at least somewhat helpful in addressing your issue. If the previous methods haven’t been effective, please feel free to let me know. I’d be happy to explore the issue more deeply with you so we can work together toward a better solution.

Thank you very much, and I wish you a great day.

    Best regards,

Still having the same issue for all excel sheets on chrome. Have to use edge which is slow and spotty because of constant refreshing. Took 15 min to get it to login at all and went through 3 different portals before I could get it to login to the account. On chrome it says the page has been moved and won't load at all. Tried downloading and reloading but it doesn't reload at all.
