Adding Review tab to email replies

I am using Outlook Classic with Home/Business 2024. While the Review tab is displayed when I initiate a new email, it is not visible when I reply to an email. I've clicked on File/Options/Customize Ribbon as suggested in prior posts, but there is no Review box for me to check and add to the Outlook ribbon. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today.

Are you editing in the reading pane or in an open message? When you compose in the reading pane the message options are limited.

You can add commands to the Message ribbon - it's the first Message under the Tools group. You need to add a new group to it to add the commands to it. Or create a new tab and add the commands you need to it (but it will show all the time not just when you hit reply.)

The Review tab is only available in open messages so you'll need to find the commands and add them to the Message ribbon or a new ribbon in the main Outlook window.

Let me know how it goes, I'm here to help you further if needed.

Diane- Thanks for getting back to me. The issue is with replying to emails. The Review tab is there for a newly-created email, but when I reply to an existing email it is not. I followed your instructions (I think), but it shows the Review tab checked even though it's not available for replies.

    Thoughts?
