We are currently looking for ways to automatically create a documentation for our whole codebase.
There are many tools out there DocFX, Sandcastle, Doxygen.
How does MS create its documentation. For us the style of the MS is very good, and we'd like to have the same?

Also, I have the same question still in 2024.
However I think I remember something about Sandcastle being used, but that was years in the past. -

2024-07-04T10:33:25.32+00:00 @Daniel Zhang-MSFT : I don't think the link is sufficient. I was asking with which tool Microsoft generates their documentation. It seems originally it was DocFX but has been abandoned. But somehow you are still able to generate the docs.

But you might build your own tool upon Sandcastle/DocFX. Besides, there are tons of commercial documentation products out there you can evaluate.
