Can both Classic Outlook and New Outlook be installed on one OS?

I have both the Classic Outlook and the New Outlook installed in Windows 10. I had the Classic version set to receive two email addresses. When the New Outlook was installed without my permission I could no longer receive one of the email addresses. I could receive the missing email in New Outlook. I want to revert back to the Classic Outlook so I can receive both emails, but I have no revert button on either.

    Hello Naith Jeanes,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you want to use Classic Outlook instead of New Outlook.

Classic Outlook and New Outlook are two different applications; they are not the old and new versions of the same application. Therefore, they can be installed simultaneously. New Outlook is a free application. The New Outlook replaces the previously built-in Mail and Calendar on Windows.

Normally, you can even open them at the same time. Please make sure you are launching it through the correct Outlook icon.

The Classic Outlook icon looks like this.

Image The New Outlook icon looks like this.

Image

If launching Classic Outlook through the correct icon still opens New Outlook, follow these steps to check your registry.

    1. In the Windows search box, type 'regedit' to find and run Registry Editor.
    2. Navigate to the following path:
       Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences

    3. Locate the UseNewOutlook field. If its value is 1, double-click it and change it to 0.

Disclaimer: Generally, modifying registry subkeys or work group is intended for advanced users, administrators, and IT Professionals. It can help fix some problems, however, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For further protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click How to back up and restore the registry in Windows - Microsoft Support to view the article.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best Regards,
