I had a question

"How does one check is DHCP server is authorized by AD DS?"

This thread moved into setting up DHCP failover. I decided to open new question for the DHCP failover. The link https://www.faqforge.com/windows-server-2016/configure-dhcp-failover-windows-server-2016/ was provided. When I try to follow the instructions for the Windows Server 2016, I can accept the scope, can add the partner server Windows server 2019, and the Relationship name looks Ok. However, the Next button is greyed out. What else is required for this to work?

    Hi,

Did you check the Enable Message Authentication option without entering the password in Shared Secret?

From the two pictures above, you can see that you can click next only if you don’t check the Enable Message Authentication option or check the option and enter your password.

Hope this can help you, if you have anything unclear, please let me know.

    Have a nice day!
